Sunrise Lake at Lewis Morris County Park

This package at Sunrise Lake includes beach admission for 10 children and 2 adults, a 2 hour block of time with an Activities Coordinator, plus a 30 minute ride on a paddle boat or row boat for the birthday boy or girl. Fill out an application form.

Beach tent rental: $40 for county residents, $80 for non-county residents

Mennen Sports Arena Birthday Party Package

Come to Mennen Sports Arena to celebrate your childs birthday with an ice skating party! Choose from two newly renovated rooms: Lake Placid or Salt Lake City.

Package includes:
  • Admission for 22 skaters to a public session
  • Skate rentals included
  • A private room
Fees
  • Evenings, Weekends, and Holidays: $175.00
  • Weekday mornings and afternoons: $160.00
  • Birthday Party Packages require a $40.00 non-refundable/non-transferable deposit with a signed contract when you reserve your party date. Please stop in the office the day of your party, pay your balance and we will give you your tickets for admission and rentals.

Nature Parties at Great Swamp OEC and Pyramid Mountain

The Great Swamp Outdoor Education Center in Chatham Twp. and Pyramid Mountain Natural Historic Area in Montville Twp. offer fun and educational birthday parties for children 4 and older. An experienced naturalist leads your party in an hour-long indoor/outdoor program.

Choose from an array of themed parties to create a memorable event.

  • Seasonal Nature Walk: Kids enjoy walking with a naturalist who points out the wonders of nature in a variety of habitats.
  • Nature Scavenger Hunt: Adventurous children work in teams to search out the “treasures on the trails” during an educational nature walk.
  • Games in the Forest: Kids take part in a variety of fun, educational and age appropriate games along the trails, such as “Quick Frozen Critters” and “Birds and Worms!”
  • Nature Detectives: Who’s been roaming the trails? Party guests solve the mystery as they search for animal signs, homes, sounds and other clues left behind by our wild residents.
  • Bird Brained: Your party guests learn what life is like as a bird. Can they call a mate or keep up with a hungry nest of chicks? They’ll find out through fun games, activities and a walk.
  • Creepy Crawly Critters: Learn all about these tiny creatures by capturing, examining and releasing real specimens. Your guests leave with a newfound respect for these amazing critters!
  • Lenape Life: (For ages 8 and older, only!) If your child is fascinated by Native American life, this party is the perfect choice. The children try their hands at making rope, play real native American games, visit a model wigwam (only at the GSOEC) and more!
More Information
  • Party fee: $200 with a $50 dollar deposit returned after the event.
  • Party includes a three-hour period including set up time, clean up time, and one hour with a naturalist.
  • Parties are for ages 4 and up, with a maximum of 20 children.
  • There must be a minimum of one adult per five children.
